We're getting glass!
I think this was posted by someone (maybe you, orange boy):
What do we want: steel!

When do want it: now!

NOW I agree with you. Because the glass is coming along quickly! I feel like just yesterday I was waiting for the new row(s) of cladding (and with Chinese supertalls, maybe it WAS yesterday!)

Hm New steel.
They are working on the 8th. trust belt. The last one. But i don't know when will see new steel erection over it. There is three floors 118-120 (observatory) over 8th trust belt and next steel is crown steel structure.

The 8th trust belt doesn't look complete to me. Is it structurally sound without the steel below it?

All that seems different to me is that the columns on that belt look diagonal. That's it.

I read somewhere that they are going to put a wind turbine in the building. Where are they going to put it? seems there is no more space available.

I think they're going to put it inside the hole for rainwater collection, or because the hole gets smaller, they'll put it in the remaining space. From the diagram it looks like the first one, but that doesn't make sense.

You can sort of see from this pic, by Lowai. If you look downwards at the cladding, the cladding looks dimmer, probably due to the lack of sunlight, and you can also see the white lines, which imo is pretty ugly.

Its amazing that they kept the core that fat the whole way up. Unlike other towers where the core gets thinner and thinner.

This is due to how they chose (or maybe were forced to, I'm not sure) to do the cladding. I think the initial idea might have been to have even cladding but due to potential danger of sun reflections they went for vertical cladding. It was mentioned in one of the building spec brochures.

You are right, but also keep on mind that almost all of them were released in the last 3-4 years There's nothing special about a <500m project anymore. We'll see many, many more coming.
