Dear Qingdao,

It doesn't look thin to me. The structure is well balanced and the concept of past, present and future of China embedded in the three towers is showing by itself.

I agree, but compared to its tall neighbors it is thinner (higher L/D rate).

There seems to be some new steel at the top. Hopefully the crown constructions begins

it is just tall and the design looks very sleek so it gives the appearance of being thin, but i don't think it really is, i mean the dimensions are really really big. and even height width ration isn't that 'thin'

I don't like the overall phallic shape but the cladding and view from the base are spectacular.

@ patrykus Wouldn't the floors have to reach the top of the core to even begin work on the crown? I mean, that just seems like the logical time to start building it.

They built it in the wrong place.
They should have built it in Liverpool.

Not everything is perfectly correct with that video. Whatever is true there definitely is something on the top of the concrete structure. Any other ideas if not the crown structure?

I'm curious to see how the view will be from the offices, through two separated panes of glass.

Just curious, why there is a parking lot in middle of the road? Its kinda ruin the view. It could have been better if converted to mini park, accessible by foot bridges.
