Agreed. That housing tract bums me out. But I'm sure it won't be long before they start filling in with high rises.

Nah, the low-rises provide a good contrast to the high-rises and make them seem higher. For skyscrapers to be really towering, they need something to tower over. Try to picture yourself standing on the roof of one of those low-rises, looking down. They are rather tall if you look at them that way. Now, what does that make the building next to them? And the ones even further back? Without something small to compare against, skyscrapers such as Shanghai Tower only appear to be "taller than the buildings around it". I like to have a frame of reference, it makes the skyscrapers look even bigger.

I think so too. Hopefully we'll see more of the crown soon.

Wow, amazing shots!

The last one was taken from the roof of the SWFC. The first one was taken later - you can see the third crane being dismantled down to its base.

I guess you need to be on top of SWFC to get good pics. It is so high up in the sky...

Thanks! Why don't you put this tower to your diagram too?

BTW, on the previos page we have seen a new steel construction, does that means that the tower reached or almost reached 600m height?
