shanghai doesnt have a pollution problem. it had in the last decade though. of course clear days isnt as good as australian cities in comparison.

Guys, do you think it's safe to say that construction will start the end of this year as mentioned in the article. I'm making a video/slideshow and want to take in complete & U/C only, but i'm wondering if i should include it already, seeing how things are moving atm.

Also, the lot is the smallest of the three lots, and will have the tallest tower. Jin Mao and WFC both have larger lots.

are you being serious? can you expand on your answers?

Yuu saying that the land jin mao and SWFC is standing on is better off being a farmland like it used to be or there should be taller buildings like this one?

Are you serious? They are both gorgeous towers and I think they look great side by side.

He probably means that the lots they are on are too big, check google earth, I think you would agree. Right next to Jinmao there is a half block of unused land, because the podium isn't fat enough. But it is the Pudong development plan (towers in the park), and all of the completely empty lots (and there are many) will need to be built on first before they densify existing lots.

thats right, i love both towerse,

also check out swfc, another half a block wasted and both tower's podium takes 2/3 of the land which is a total waste, they could have built 4 400+ on the plot jinmao is currently using

Iconic buildings look better if they have a little space around, and the area is not very crowded. (just look how much land they "waste" around Burj Dubai.)
