Wow, construction has seem to slow to a "crawl", coverage as well, other than Kix keeping the World informed, this has gotten really SLOW.

Well I disregard that statement, looking at Kix's latest photos cladding is still moving along well.
It looks so good! The building is phenomenal!!

My opinion, it looks so much better than Burj, but that's just me. It looks like it "belongs" there...

What's the plan for getting the final crane down? It's not on the outside of the bldg so it can't jack itself down. I am excited to see this one finished up.

Did you not see the video of the Russian guys in their famous climb? I like to think they have waaay bigger cajones. I'm terrified of heights, but if I knew that I wouldn't die if I fell, I could at least make it to the crane cab
I did see that, it was hard to look at. If I were up there, even tethered, I think I'd pass out and / or have a heart attack.

632 m is pretty high. I hope the Chinese break the 1000m barrier in the near future.

Make a thread.
There are plenty of new projects since the start of the old one.

ok, maybe Iīll try it, but every thread I started until now was deleted by admin. Maybe Iīll be lucky now Do you think admins will let anyone make a thread "rate our talls 300m+" for example? Everytime I try to make something original and reasonable, they delete it for some nonsensical reasons

While some of those solutions were unsustainable long-term and all were costly, they really put a dent in their air pollution when they tried.
Developed nation residents often comment 'I wish China would learn from our mistakes', when China did.

Every single large economy began as an industrial centre with heavy pollution. It's a necessary step, because if you do it clean from the start you cripple growth and give your money to the already developed.

China's top-down, do-it-now-by-decree, governance means that it is very likely that one year the word will come down and within a year or two the air will clear.

This will affect the economy, jobs will be lost, and other affects - but the air will clear and the views will be spectacular.

China is like any other large, continent-sized nation - it has vast scenic beauty everywhere.

My guess would be a PPP per capita of 12k to 15k would be where this process begins.

Probably a priority for the next leader in 8 years.

Yeah, I watched it again today, and I'm now certain, that I could never even make it to the crane cab, without going into cardiac arrest. It takes a special kind of person to be able to do those kind of things, even if tethered

I assume it will be the same way as other towers have done in the past. Disassembled and lowered piece by piece by a BMU.

cladding grows steadily, but the crown goes slow. Probably quite a complicated structure.

Yes, I agree. This is probably a very complicated structure. Look at the triangular steel-girder like things on the crown. I wonder if the construction workers are taking their time or rushing to get this completed.

They are building it as fast as they are able to, it's just so complicated.
