This is a terrible quality picture, but it does show very well that the internal composition of the crown has changed from the old version.

Loved this photo, it is now my desktop picture, every time I see the Shanghai Tower I always think, imagine if you brought a person from the 1940's or even the 1800's and brought them to shanghai in 2014, would be good to see what they thought haha!

I remember going to Shanghai for the first time and being amazed by how tall the World Financial Center looked! Then I went again recently and it looks SO TINY compared to the Shanghai Tower!

Building on left

I think you're asking about White Magnolia Plaza. Here is the thread:

SHANGHAI | White Magnolia Plaza | 319m | 1046ft | 66 fl | 171m | 561ft | 39 fl | 111m | 364ft | 23 fl | U/C

A lot with Inno4321, may be lost in translation, he speaks 0 English, and he's the #1 advocate for Seoul Lotte Tower,, He would never bang on this Tower.. I've talked to him a lot, and if you look at the cladding on each, Seoul's Lotte does look more durable. But that's just perception to the naked eye,, Most of us know this (shanghai tower) is subject to typhoons. I guarantee he means NO Harm.

The Financial Centre is the tallest building I've ever seen (to roof rather, not counting tips of Sears and WTC) but it's crazy to think that this is another 450 feet (140m)

I still don't think it makes SWFC look that small though, at least not from most angles, I guess it's hard to tell when you're looking up from the ground.

Maybe some 300+ tower, but 400+ tower certainly not in the next 10 years.

Maybe the crown change signals something larger is coming. I'm hoping for a 200 m spire coming out top.
