From the rooftop at the Hyatt on the Bund Hotel.

A particular angle in Yu Yuan where you can see the famous teahouse and the Tower!

References: All these and the following photos are my own photos.

These illustrations of the finished tower are portrayed at the construction site, they hang at the security walls. (See also further below.)

(If you look closely you can see me wearing a bright green shirt :-)

One wonders: why is there just one unfinished window?

The second snap suffers a small flaw in the stitching - but you can see where the illustrations from above are mounted.

Another snap that shows you the location of the tower illustrations from above.

Looks like they dropped something on it. The top frame is badly damaged. Oops...

Bomime, your pictures are really impressive! I loved those panoramic shots with SWFC looking all squashed and distorted. May I ask, are you a resident of SH?

No, sadly I am not. So far work only brought me to Shanghai once every two years.

Four years ago, in 2010, I just saw a big hole in the ground (My hotel was then that spectacular Park Hyatt Shanghai in the SWFC, directly opposite the construction site).

Two years ago, in 2012, the massive tower came already close to the height of the bar in the Grand Hyatt in Jin Mao Tower.

I have photos of all the times when I was there, but feel it out of date to post the old photos now and here, as interesting as they are...

For me, having these long intervalls between my visits, it feels spectacularly fast fow the tower grows, and the pace of its growth seems to me like a metaphor for all that is happening in China.

Thanks!!!

I have about 20 more photos of different Shanghai Tower views before they start getting repetitive. I plan to put them here gradually, whenever I have some time.
