IMO, Liebeskind early draft of the Freedom Tower was plain ugly. Even though what we have now is not a beauty, it's still an improvement.

Personially, I would perfer a taller, more up-to-date version of the WTC towers. Looking at that picture, it doesn't interest me at all.

each 3 other than tower 1 seems like it's 150' shorter than the expected heights in that render

i don't like that render because of how unrealistic it looks. as nygirl said, the 3 towers are verymuch downplayed and the lights look bad.

Towers 2, 3 and 4 need to be much taller. In reality tower 2 is pretty much the same height as freedom's roof

It would be better if the same number was in metters rather than in feet

Wow these look spectacular!! Number four is a little bland, but the project looks diverse yet unified at the same time, reflecting well the spirit of the U.S.

Anyone notice, this makes the Empire State B'ldg. now FOURTH tallest in NYC? And it'll be SIXTH tallest in the U.S. when Trump's Chicago b'ldg gets done, and SEVENTH if Fordham (400 N. Lakeshore) is built.

good skyscraper-ensemble

I think all four buildings are beautiful. Tower 4 may not be so spectacular at first sight, but donīt forget about One Liberty Plaza in his immidiate neaborhood. Itīs part of a good contextualism. What is about the height of Tower 2. Some information said 411 Meters, other 382 Meters?

I love this render the most! I can't stop drooling. Maki's tower looks great in this one... the roof is slanted for some reason, and it makes all the difference in the world. I hope this is what gets constructed.

What happened to Jean Nouvel? I thought he was originally chosen to design one of the towers?

I personally don't like the plan simply b/c it doesn't feel like they're all apart of one big project, which IMO, should be the case in this instance. I think the symbolism part of all this was the aspect that was lost throughout the project. Just look at how much different the final plans are from what was originally planned by all the candidates. I'd take any of these buildings by themselves, but I just think these just don't do justice to the original WTCs and that's probably b/c that's not a significant goal of the people developing and building this anymore. This was an opportunity to get something really grand and powerful, which is tough to do as much as things cost these days, and we blew it IMO. As sad as the 9/11 disaster was, an opportunity like this doesn't come so often.

Looking at these projects simply by themselves, I'm ecstatic, they'll do a great deal of improvement to Lower Manhattan and NYC's whole skyline, but remembering what they're replacing, I'm just a bit disappointed.

You took the words right out of my mouth, NovaWolverine. This Wuss Trade Center is nothing but an ilegitmate replacement for the original World Trade Center. Governor George Pataki never liked the Twins from the start, and used the attacks of 9/11 more as a way to make sure it never existed by forming the Lower Manhattan Developement Corperation (LMDC). IMO, the Fraudem (or Folly) Tower along with the newly designed buildings are more like monuments to each of the main members of Al Qadea starting with the FT being for Osama Bin Laden. I am not fooled by any of these desings nor do I have the delusions for them. The good thing is that there are still hardly any tenants and it will probably will be held back once again after 9/20 when the PA will not sign the agreement on that date to start its construction.
