Oh, wait, that doesn't include the Freedom Tower, which is another 2.6 million square feet.

So the total for the four buildings will be 9,300,000 square feet of floor space.

^ PLUS Seven World Trade Center, which has 1.7 million square feet of office space.

And we still have to wait for Tower 5.

Just b/c I don't like this new complex does not mean that I don't like new designs. Maybe if this was being built somewhere else, I would probably hate it less. However, I do not like the fact that five 40-60 story buildings are replacing two large towers where those stood. It is even worse than when the headhouse for Penn Station got demolished for MSG and the World Bldg was demolished for an extra road to the Brooklyn Br combined. Again please do not state any personal attacks at me just b/c I don't like this plan. On a sidenote, I know that are people from other message boards reading this, so it's not as if I don't know that.

Nah. I don't like the final design. I've just preffered earlier projects far more. Original Liebskind's project had a spirit. As more changes were made, it disappeared.
Now it looks like there's no leading concept for the site. I see no correlation between those towers (idea of engaging more than one (st)architect prooved wrong IMHO), no focus point. In the end, this site will look like a place accidentally covered up with buildings.
ps. this Calatrava's hub is gorgeous

I've no problems with both systems as I grew up during the transitional period from the imperial system to the metric system in my country. So, the baby boomers in my country should have no problems switching from the 'imperial language' when talking to the older generations, to the 'metric language' when talking to the younger generations.
