NEW YORK CITY: The New World Trade Center

Seeing as how the 1 World Trade Center thread is being overrun by talk about WTC Towers 2-4, I figured I would make this thread to move discussion away from the 1 WTC thread. So here we go.

General Layout

2 World Trade *1,350 feet Structural/1,254 Occupied (78 floors)*

3 World Trade *1,255 feet Structural/1,155 Feet Occupied (71 floors)*

4 World Trade *947 Structural/Occupied (61 floors)*

actually splitting each tower up would probably be better. WNY has it for example. We'd also be able to see which thread got more hits, which could be either 2 or 3, and definitely not 4.

SPECTACULAR!!!

Buildings #2 & #3 look wonderful. Number four still looks like a generic box, has its design not been released?

That is tower 4's design. Just that the renderings I found are shitty and not very detailed.

I already approved of 1 WTC a while ago, and it appears that there are subtle changes in crossbeams here and there, which I like.

2 and 3 WTC are perfect.

4 WTC looks a bit simple, but still good in the very first two renderings posted. It pairs up well with 7 WTC.

David M. Childs, Sir Norman Foster, Richard Rogers, and Fumihiko Maki have done a World Class job.

NY is NY, it doesnt need to "establish power" with (new) massive twins. just be thankful that they actually put something in that spot (in this case, 4 nicetowers) instead of just being a memorial there.

I actually thiink that 4 is the best. It has a very minimalistic design, and it's very timeless. I'm a fan of simple boxes and 4 is very nice. It sort of envokes 7 World Trade..itself a beautiful tower.

Quite simply splendid! I'm really conquered.
Only WTC 4 leaves me a little less enthusiastic.
If I understood well, there remain still the WTC 5 which did not have a render? Where will it be placed?

Go NYC !!!

I love tower 2 but not sure about 3. Tower 4 looks like it was rendered in 10 minutes.

no twins then... bad

The general design is good, even if I think that could be a little more better (Foster's tower is not very impressive...)

Is it really Freedom Tower to the left? It doesn't look like 417m tall to the roof and 541m tall to the spire, may be because it is surrounded by other supertalls in the rendering. The old WTC looked much taller by some reason.

Seems like my diagram drawings of the lower towers are outdated now...
