well if there's one thing that really interests me about Bratislava, it's how it interacts with Vienna.
The towers are great, they remind me a little bit of what they're building in New Jersey, across the Hudson river, where people leave from Manhattan, but still want to have the city life with density, but in a more quiet place, lol In this case it's for Slovaks, but I guess there could always be some Austrians moving in, right?

Well, the architects of the complex are Fedor Mudroch and Anita Mudrochova - Slovakian architects, and the developer is Slovak-Dutch, but of course, if the Austrians want to buy an appartment there, they are welcomed. The name Vienna Gate is more symbolic as it is close to Petrzalka railway station with a connection to Vienna and Schwechat airport.

This complex is named after one of the gates of Bratislava castle (Viedenská brána):
But its name is also symbolic because its close to Austrian border: ![]() And it is close to railway station Bratislava - Petržalka which is connecting Bratislava with Vienna too (BTW in future it will be station for the TGV trains as well so it will be connecting Bratislava with Paris, maybe then there will be "Paris gate" ).I think Petržalka needs much more projects like this one which will make a modern quarter from this dictrict which have the most dense population in Central Europe and which is "famous" for its commieblocks. |

Nice design but noise from the traffic (loads of cars and trains) will be unbearable.

Given how close Bratislava is to Vienna, what is the likelihood that with further integration these projects could increase in number to, for example, house Viennese that want a cheaper alternative to live?

Houses in Bratislava are much more expensive than houses in Austria between Wien and Bratislava so not Austrians but Slovaks are buying houses in Austrian and Hungarian villages near Bratislava.
