What's happening with the new Piazza Garibaldi station? I was in Naples in early June and from outside it looked not that far from finished

Toledo Metro station of Naples won today in London the "Emirates leaf 2013 international award" as "public building of the year". The prize, now in its tenth edition, is an international recognition, attributed to projects that have features of great innovation in the field of design and architecture globally and is awarded by an international jury.

Have accepted the award the President of the Naples metro Giannegidio Silva, and the Catalan architect Oscar Tusquet Blanca who designed the station.

The station is pretty no doubt, but it is also very little used. Or at least that was my impression when I went to see it earlier this year.

Because at the time the service is partial. With the opening of Garibaldi station, the service will be complete and the passengers will greatly increase.

Tomorrow morning will be inaugurated the new Garibaldi station on the Line 1, particularly important because it finally connects the line to the central station.
With this new station Line 1 extend for 18km and 17 stations.

A little preview...

Will the line finally be operating through - or they plan to keep the shuttle service until Garibaldi?
