So regarding Cortlandt St, Line 1, sounds like the projected opening is going to be pushed back some? Just like the 7 extension has over and over.

I won't be surprised if the newer South Ferry reopens well ahead of new Cortlandt St.

I'm also dissapointed. And yet I don't know how it will look like, when Cortlandt St will open in 2018

No. 7 Train Extension Faces Another Delay
Officials say an airy and modern new subway station on Manhattan’s Far West Side probably won’t open until July.

The extension of the No. 7 train to a new station at 34th Street and 11th Avenue was originally supposed to open more than a year ago, in December 2013. The opening of the $2.4 billion project has been delayed several times.

Metropolitan Transportation Authority officials said recently it would open sometime between April and June.

But on Monday MTA official Anthony D’Amico said workers are still testing fire alarms, third-rail power and other station components. Mr. D’Amico said the station probably wouldn’t open until sometime in July.

South Ferry Terminal Station to get additional $343M in resiliency funding
March 25, 2015 at 3:36 PM

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- The Hurricane Sandy-damaged South Ferry Terminal Station will get an additional $343 million in resiliency funding from the federal level.

Senators Charles Schumer and Kristen Gillibrand along with Congressman Jerrold Nadler announced Wednesday that they had appropriated more than $343 million in funding in the Sandy Relief Bill. The money will be spent on rehabilitation efforts like leak remediation and repairs to the station, rail tracks and power equipment. It will also cover flood protection measures like the hardening of entrances and vulnerable areas.

"Superstorm Sandy seriously damaged our critical infrastructure, like the South Ferry Terminal Station, and this federal funding will help make sure the subway station is better protected in the event of another mega storm," said Schumer in a release. "I am pleased to announce over $343 million in federal Sandy-relief funding to help make sure our subways are stronger than ever before"
