Wow, some more there that I haven't seen. The waters tower is great! The first doesn't look like it has 120 floors though, at least that's what appears in the render anyway

Amazing for a city that traditionally only famous for a canal, can I ask what's fuelling the boom?

Great to see all these developments. But is there a special reason for this skyscraperboom?

With most outstanding and unique, I'm surprised this new "supertall"--Torre Megalopolis--is such a knockoff of the Ice Tower.

I think it's called "escape from America".
Lots of USA retirees want to leave in droves.

Yes I think its similar to what is happening in Costa Rica. I saw a statistic that said more social security checks go to people living in these two countries than any other. It was pretty shocking!

The boom is being caused mostly by local investor speculation that baby boomers are going to want to retire in the country. Panama has a lot of things that make it attractive like for example that the currency is the US Dollar, every product in the world passes through the canal so everything is available, and in general it’s a nice central place with beaches and jungle.

Panama’s upper class have created a “Miami” lifestyle for themselves and what you are seeing is the evolution of that lifestyle being developed with labor at 1/10 of the cost.

One of the reasons is similar to below-Americans, Canadians, Europeans can buy into luxurious resorts/mansions on the Pacific , Caribbean, Mountains and City , 4 lifestyles closeby for the cost of one mansion anywhere the the north in one of the most biodiverse regions on earth.

and continuing:
1. Largest free trade zone in the Western Hemisphere (2nd only to HK)
2. Telecommunications: Every major fiber optic line between the 2 continents converge in Panama
3. Largest transhipment point for Asian goods to Latin America
4. Very large Jewish, Arab, Hindu population who have established very sucessful businesses in the Free Zone
4. Largest container ports in Latin America
5. National Geographic setting that is so far away and yet so close
6. One of the World's largest offshore banking centers
7. Largest Registry of maritime vessels in the World
8. Huge Reinsurance industry and Service in general, we don't produce anything for export on a large scale
