Is any of the spire accessable or is the restarant the highest point you can reach? the view from there is probably the best in the world.thank you.
Thank you
Iím not 100% sure but I assume the lifts will be in the middle part and they should be glass. As for the gold colour since the observation deck is still under construction I canít tell if it will be gold or not but I think itíll not be red.
As for the highest point, the restaurant will be the highest point and there will be no other observation place in the spire.
I hope that answered your questions.

You're welcome the Sock

New cool pic by samir heshemiri @ Flickr. If you pay attention you can see some glasses being installed on top of the observation deck

Milad tower is far in the center of this pic

Lovely homes!

Among the nice photos are pictures of some lovely homes ... like one with the orange roof or another one surrounded by autumn trees. Are they very expensive? What is the price of a typical house in Tehran, and the price of a nicer, more "upscale" villa like in the photos? In Euros, Sterling, or US$, please.

Hi Phillybud.

Actually the real estate in Tehran and its surrounding is comparable to Los Angeles and New York and that's ridiculous but when the country is governed by bunch of religous people what more can you expect.

Monthly income in Tehran ranges from $200 to $1000 or higher but in few cases. That's why people find other ways such as trading or investing in Dubai etc in order to make more money.

The price of homes in Tehran ranges from $150,000 US in very regular middle class places all the way to over $2 Million and more in upscale areas. Surprisingly Tehran has a large rich population mostly in the Northen half of the city and a big middle class population that are in Central Tehran and eastern and western suburbs and like any other huge metropolitan it has poor areas too which are mostly in the southern tip of the city...

For example below is the price of an apartment complex in North West corner of Tehran and this area although nice but it's still much cheaper than other rich areas in North of the city.

http://www.homesonsale.co.uk/new_fam...o42109-en.html

Also the below link shows apartments and homes in some areas in Tehran. How you read it is that for example area 157 M = 1570 Square Feet (multiply it by 10) since the system in Iran is Metric.

Also as for the price if you omit the 3 zeros at the end of toman you'll get the U.S. dollar price since 1 USD=1000 tomans

Zafaraniyeh is in Northen Tehran in that link and Mirdamad is in Central but leaning to North and is a good area as well.

Hope that answers your questions a bit.

Wow. Real estate prices seem very high in Tehran ... but perhaps because that is the capital, after all flats in London are much more expensive than the rest of the UK, right? If I came to live in Iran perhaps I'd move to Qum or Isfahan ... and export rugs!!!!
