I haven't seen the Milad Tower since 2006, but I can tell you guys it is HUGE...like you are nothing compared to how big this tower is...I've touched it in person...Tehran is beautiful...and there are a lot of real modern looking buildings as well, there just aren't too many pics on those. But most of the skyscrapers (except Milad Tower) are located in Fereshteh/Elahiyeh/Niavaran neighborhoods of Tehran which are all in the northern part, right by the mountain. My sisters house is on a skyscraper and its funny because all these skyscrapers are built on it, so its such a beautiful view...And you can definately see the Milad Tower from anywhere in the city...I can't wait to visit it when its done with the hotel and decorations...and yes, there is a restuarant on the top.

Also there is a tower called Burj-e Sefid...Which means the white tower/skyscraper...and its all white except the top which is a class, 50's looking hat, and the hat is actually a fancy restuarant that rotates...like when you go on it, the floor rotates so you get the view of the entire area. White tower isn't really that tall, but for when it was made (about 13-14 years ago), it was HUGE...but now there are so many more that its considered the smaller ones.

Yes from the tochal mountain trail, but you need to zoom in your camera since this shot covers the center of Tehran only

Not so bad...

Year 2006:
GDP - $735 billion
Per capita: $10900
Growth: 7%

Inflation is high but it's usual for developing economies, even UAE have similar inflation rate.

that would be inappropriate. concrete finish has NO maintenance as opposed to painted finish which will peal or fade every few years. concrete towers should stay with exposed finish.

The proportion of the pod makes the tower look so short

I know, that's why they never painted CN Tower in Canada.
