Actually it will be regardless, since it will be a couple of meters taller than the Chicago Spire.

Not to be harsh, but I don't see putting a South Korean building on any list of future supertalls until somebody starts pouring some concrete pilings.

South Korea is a dreamland of proposals that never materialize.

All I know is that those rebars are to be used for piling. Let's hope that piling will be for Russia Tower.

I'm going to go with "some other tower nearby" as for the piling inserts seen here. This tower is going to be 8 levels below grade, (5 parking, with 3 mechanical, retail above that.) and i doubt this perticular rebar will be used for any type of shoring on this project, also there is no way a project of this size and scope will be built in two directions, this tower begins when digging starts. Which by the way is when??? (the piling and digging operations for the Federation tower took over a year, and this project is just a tad larger than that one.!)

Lets hope this one starts as planned, the only thing i would change is the angel of the outer "lobe" walls to slightly more vertical, to bring more verticality to it, but this design is far better than the original SOM plan from a few years back!!

I love all of Fosters work.

Tower City Hall is a new symbol of the capital

In a few years, the Moscow mayor have a new address. District City built building, which planners intended to be one of the largest and most beautiful in the world. They say even the birth of a new symbol of the capital. Today ends the so-called zero cycle megaproject. Currently pre-tower mayor giant pit, which lost job figures. The draft defies the imagination. The height of over 300 meters, 70 floors with a total area of 700,000 square meters. By comparison, housing a year in Moscow built 5 million square meters. This will be a unique building. A architecture is a stylized letter "M" with the four parties towers. It certainly is not lost among other residential high-City and will be a new attraction capital.

Igor Kovpak, head of the construction company : "I think that this building is a city. Because it reflects the essence of our city is a great, powerful, beautiful, comfortable ".

But already at zero cycle, which in the construction, and so is considered the most complex and time-consuming, zaminka happened. Former contractor left a number of deficiencies, according to the specialists, dangerous to the towers. Close to the proved and groundwater. The depth of the pit - nearly 30 metres. Initially, workers had to work boots wading waist-deep in water.

Igor Kovpak, head of the construction company : "Today we had to assemble an emergency meeting of the Design NIiPI Genplana, with Mosgorekspertizy because the preparatory work carried out inadequate quality. There is a need now to repair the marriage, because we can not continue to build ".

Correct mistakes always difficult. However promise that all defects will be corrected, even during the summer. While exact dates for the opening of the tower is not yet known, probably from superstitions, but confidently say that every four years skyscraper will appear in all its glory.

Guangzhou TV Tower 610m, Al Burj 1200m ad the australian solar tower if that counts
Taipei 101 won't even be on the top 10 in 6 years time, less than a decade of reign and its stripped of its title, pretty cruel, on SSP the current ten tallest will be yesteryears top ten.
