It's now known as The Chicago Spire and it will be 610m. The reason that "Fordham" is no longer in the name is because Shelbourne Development Group Inc., the Irish developer took over the project from the Chicago-based Fordham Co. a couple of months ago.

Looking forward to some new pics of Russia Tower's groundworks.

It seems to have a similar sort of shape to the ryugyong hotel in Pyongyang (North Korea). Love the design of it. Will look amazing with a cluster of smaller towers surrounding it. Kind of reminds me of the LBT Tower in London

Don't think you read through the thread stef17, especially pages 3 & 4.

Let us compare models, shall we? lol

The Renzo Piano 306m/1,004ft LBT aka The Shard and the Foster + Partners' 600m/1,968ft Russia Tower:

The both towers look great but Russia Tower is in two times bigger and higher
so I think it will look something like this

Derrr, of course Skyman. I noted the heights above the 2 model pics I posted. I just made the pics the same size so as to compare them design-wise and form-wise, side-by-side.

wow, this is growing on me, LBT looks so tiny compared to russia tower. It looks like a dwarf, LBT is no small highrise either. I still think the shard looks better and more styled to detail.

both are proportionate to their surrounding areas. Londons skyscrapers are after all shorter than Moscows future ones, so 300m is more than enough to dominate the london skyline, while the latter will need that height to overwhelm its 300+ and 400+ neighbors height

Beautifull renders and architecture. I love it...

Not to troll, but this one "looks" more stable to me than BD even if i don't think any of those big babies will collapse...

Can't wait to see digging, pilling, erecting, ...

Go go go Russia !

Amazing century we are living as we witness towers higher and higher !!!
