Guangzhou new railway station



Last year(2005), more than 400 million passengers passed through the Guangzhou railway station.
It is very necessary for Guangzhou to build the third railway station.
This project is u/c and the cost is around 1.8 Billion $USD, 400,000 square meter.
It will become the largest railway station in Asia.

If i got it right it is supposed to be built in the south-west of the city, there is no rails at all there now i think...But its really needed, both of the current stations are running well above capacity, the main-station (not the east one) is a joke! How about the towers that were supposed to be built on the east station by the way, are they gonne get built or what?
