Yeah, The database once again took a dive and I've been fighting with it for going on 20 hours right now. It's finally back to working condition, but now I'm moving the final webserver to the new cabinet and installing Gentoo on it.

The forum speed is fine but when I open threads, it takes ages for the quick reply box to show up... So I decided to use "Post Reply" instead, but still, the reply box takes ages to show up.

No problem, man. It's not an urgent problem, we still can understand what the other are posting. I assume that the problems are touching all lingos with special letters.

Hey guys, I'm still pretty sick, so I'm going to try to outsource a bit of my job to you guys.

I need someone to gather up all the characters that aren't showing up right (or at least some of them!) and e-mail the info to me.

All I need is the Language, the way the character is supposed to look, and the way the character actually looks.

I'm going to take it to vbulletin.com and see if they can figure out the issue

Maybe it's just this tag <html dir="ltr" lang="en">
Admittedly I know little but I think this meta tag <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" /> should go with just <html> and not set with english as the language, or perhaps it should be lang="en-us"

I think it's only page-encoding problem now. Try change codepage setting in browser's menu from ISO to UTF-8 on any forum with national characeters

edit: except posts posted in ca. last week with wrong encoding in the database
