Yep! I read the same news on ashorooq! I wish if someone was in Sudan to take us photos of the infrastructure developments!

Slightly off topic, but I was in London last weekend, and paid a visit to Canary Wharf at around 4 am (after some proper police interrogation I was allowed in with my car) - and MY GOODNESS! The first thing that crossed my mind was; Will Khartoum ever going to have that bloody Al Sunut Development completed in my life time?!?!

Looking for any information about "Blue Nile City" Project in Khartoum. - Supposedly it is owned and developed by Kuwait-based Al-Bader International Development Company W.L.L. (AIDCO). Any information is appreciated. Which architectural firm working on a master plan? What has been done already, if anything?

Me and my girl were there two days ago,
honestly i liked it alot 1+ for catering the staff are extra friendly (mostly egyptians) i dont mind the burgers, but the soup was hehehehe
overall i give it 8/10

وقعت ولاية الخرطوم أمس الأربعاء مع شركة ICG أكبر شركة قامت بتشييد مشاريع البنى التحتية فى إيران، وشركة قصر اللؤلؤ السودانية، على عقد تشييد جسر (توتي- بحري) بتمويل قدره 45,5 مليون دولار من بنك الصادرات الإيراني.

ويتم سداد القرض خلال عشر سنوات، على أن يكتمل تشييد الجسر في مدى ثلاث سنوات، تبدأ اعتباراً من الشهر القادم.


وقال والي الخرطوم عبدالرحمن الخضر، إن هذه الاتفاقية جاءت ضمن الثمار التي جنتها الولاية من زيارة وفد الولاية لجمهورية إيران الإسلامية.


وأوضح الوالي أنه إلى جانب هذا الجسر فإن الجانب الإيراني قرر تمويل محطة مياه أبو سعد بتكلفة قدرها 57 مليون دولار.


من جهته، قال وزير التخطيط والتنمية العمرانية المهندس عبدالله أحمد حمد، إن اختيار الشركة الإيرانية تم لاعتبارها من الشركات الإيرانية التي نفذت مشاريع في مناطق وعرة بإيران وتبلغ قيمة المشاريع التي تنفذها الشركة سنوياً بإيران 50 ملياراً.


وأوضح مدير هيئة الطرق أحمد قاسم أن طول الجسر يبلغ 1200 متر، منها 600 متر في مجرى النيل الأزرق والبقية في اليابسة.


وصمم الجسر ليكون تحفة معمارية ومعلماً سياحياً وأن يكون معلقاً على أبراج طول البرج 76 متراً وتقييده بكوابل متوازية، كما يرتبط الجسر مع جسر (توتي- الخرطوم).
