Building complexes

Does your city have a multi complex developments or a multi building complex?

Here are some examples

Rockefeller Centre (NY)

Pacific Place (HK)

Anyway, here's one for HK,

Pacific Place

This commercial complex was developed in Admiralty by The Swire Group during the early 90s. It is a comibation of office, hotel and service apartments. The original complex is composed of One and Two Pacific Place which are both office towers. The other buildings belongs to The Marriot, Conrad and Island Shangri-La hotels. The bottom part of the complex is a popular shopping centre and is connected by tram, bus and MTR.

Three Pacific Place was recently built though it's separated from the main complex. It's location is in Wan Chai.

Here's another

HK has alot of these developments but one of the most significant is The International Finance Centre.

http://www.ifc.com.hk

Developed during the late 90s, this complex was built on reclaimed land in the Central waterfront. This development is composed of two office towers, a 6 star hotel / suites, a shopping mall and The HK station of The Airport Express.

The first of the developments was the 1-IFC which was completed in 1998 and opened in 1999. The building was designed by Cesar Pelli and is 210 m and 38 stories. Several global financial institutions have their offices here.

The second is the 2-IFC and was completed in 2003. Also designed by Cesar Pelli, it is 415 m and is currently the tallest building in HK. The building also houses global financial institutions and The HK Monetary Authority. The building is also equipped with a double-deck lift.

The third development is The Four Seasons hotel which was completed in 2005. It's a 40 storie building and is the first Four Seasons in HK.

You mean Pacific Place. It's very close to our place. In fact Three Pacific Place is right across our flat. I often pass there going to Central. Too bad though they got rid of the Mc Donalds. The mall is ok though I mostly visit The King & Country shop since my dad collects those miniature soldiers.

I know they are gone but it would seem just wrong to exclude the WTC.

True and also nearby World Financial Centre

As for IFC, I think it's kinda like HK's counterpart to the WTC except the 2-IFC wasn't built as twin structures.

IFC is a complex of 3 main buildings. 2 IFC and 1 IFC were twin designs with different heights.

I've been to the one at Arco Towers. There's a shopping mall and a Blue Line station at the bottom.
