The individual building isnt but it has outline planning approval which still means its a step in the right direction.

Has anyone got a plan of the old Snow Hill? From what I understand, SH had 12 platforms - it's difficult to see from these pictures how they managed to squeeze them in! Can any help me?

official floor count is 43 floros
this puts the tower at a minimum 129m by european law if those floor counts stay the same

I have started emailing to get the info on this tower as well as the rest of the development. No replies yet.

If you do, ask about the station.

Snow Hill comprised two very long and very wide island platforms. The platforms were sufficiently long that they could accommodate two trains at the same time (there were cross-over points half way down the platforms). The northern ends of the platforms therefore had different numbers from the southern ends, giving eight platforms. In addition, the northern ends were indented thereby providing four terminal bay platforms for trains from the north terminating at Snow Hill. That makes twelve platforms in total. There is much wasted (and unsightly) space on the western side of the present layout. I am surprised when Chiltern bemoan the lack of capacity at Snow Hill because there is ample room for expansion there.

Chilter should moan if there is the capacity for 12 platforms yet there are only 4 (including Midland metro) in use.

I don't know yet, but it would be stupid if they built all these (rather tasty looking) glass buildings, and ignored the station.

I doubt they'll do anything to Snow Hill before New Street is sorted. If we cant get New Street on the prioity list by Christmas then Snow Hill has no chance.
