Big Bus Question
I have HEARD of bustrains and articulated-doubledecker buses.
Are these for real or am I just dreaming? Any photos or links? Also, I know that Volvo, amongst other companies, make double-articulated buses but is there such a thing as a triple-articulated bus. All of the above would be great for BRT lines. |

In Utrecht, NL, there are articulated buses which exist out of three parts. These buses are 25 meters long.
Here's a picture of this kind a bus

Nope. Hong Kong uses the larger non-articulated double-deckers for public bus, 12m tri-axle. Are 12m 3-axle used in the UK? I don't remember seeing any...

Do these buses have an own lane? I can't imagine them driving amongst other vehicles.

On other places, they have longer busstop-spaces, because these buses are about 9 meters longer than an ordinary truck in Europe (those are 16,5m). Here is a picture of such a bus in action, on a buslane. ![]() The capacity of these buses are 180 persons. (not all seats) another pic:

Curitiba, Brazil uses bi-articulated buses i.e. buses with three sections:

I've read that biggest buses are these MAN citytrains in Kinshasa, designed by Mobutu Seseseko. Any pics and info about these?
