Amazing. Why does Calgary have such a 5mil+ skyline when it only has a million people? Is it purely oil?

Yes, for the same reason Midland TX and Tulsa have so many talls for their size. The energy complex in Alberta is huge and there is still a need for more office space in Calgary. Office towers are to Calgary what condos are to Vancouver.

and that is why I begin to like Calgary even more so day after day.

I don't know how that comes, but I know and sense that Calgary will have an even brighter future and play a major role in this century.

Maybe I should move to Calgary. Will I be welcome to the city of no nonsense, hard working people, joie de vivre and the free spiritness and pioneering?

I don't see how a collection of office towers makes a pleasant city Charlotte. Not saying Calgary isn't, but just referring to your standards of a nice city.

Wherever there are Skyscrapers, I will feel right at home.

You won't believe it, but I somehow don't like Vancouver at all.

Indeed. Vancouver is the European valhalla of a liveable Skyscraper city, with all the groundfloor program, small scale and residential scrapers.

After Absolute World, this is the most anticipated project in Canada from my perspective. This will be a tremendous boost to the impressive yet very dull Calgary skyline.

Oh yes, that is true. Although Calgary has a fun skyline, yet it was not impressive, but this Lady there, is going to be the trend setter and have an huge impact on Calgary's future projects am sure.

Good job though.

The BOW rocks

Well done Canada/Calgary on this gorgeous tower, I must say that I'm very impressed by the pace of the construction,it's growing as quick as a mushroom!
