"Now" looks better and more substantial then "before".
Thanks for posting.

I hope there's urban consulting work available in Calgary because I would LOVE to move there after college. It looks like such a beautiful city, and one I simply admire from an urban-planning standpoint.

these kind of jobs are in very high demand these days in Calgary. Especially because Calgary's population is rising at a staggering rate, The city is annexing more and more land. This brings in more need for urban planners and such related work. Hope this helps

They should extend the skyscraper development towards the river in an attempt to pull off a modern Chicago. That'd look cool.

One of these days I'll have to head North and check it out. A much more impressive city than Salt Lake or Boise.

I heard him speak on the CBC yesterday, what an inspirational character. I really liked his attitude and his message. I wish we could get our governments here in Ontario and Quebec to work for businesses (especially small businesses) instead of against them. Maybe I should move to Calgary?

His election has really made people stop and pause. It's a fitting symbol of just how far western Canada has come and how in many ways its pulling ahead of the east. They've elected a progressive, intelligent, optimistic, visionary, intellectual while in the east we're dealing with corruption, rednecks, and the same old tired bureaucrats. Move to Calgary? I was thinking the same thing. Maybe one day I will end up there.

Calgary is still only one-fifth the size of Toronto, but you wouldn't know it. Congrats Calgary and well done!

I started my first photo thread documenting a recent trip to Halifax, Nova Scotia. Have a peek: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=724898

this is why I 've been focused on Calgary ever since a few months ago and prior to my move to Canada but I ended up here in Toronto knowing like you said this city can grow on you and you 'd love it.

But yes, a mayor who has a big wide smile and definitly a man of visions and great talents is going to turn the little " island" that Calgary is, into a major hub and both a lovely holiday destination and an attractive financial hub for coming years, they just have started the development and sure, the tallest building in Canada will be built there sometime sooner or later. I am sure of that.

Let's move to CLG together eh? lol

Well, baby steps! You're here now which is the first step, but I understand fully why you gave Calgary a good hard look. Calgary really does seem destined for greatness. It's already the corporate centre of western Canada, and I wouldn't be surprised if they built Canada's tallest building one of these days.

Move to Cowtropolis? Maybe!
