That's a shame, but rather have more floor space and pay for the completed project!

Is the very top SkyGarden still going to be there? Personally I found that to be the most striking feature of the entire project. It would give such an amazing sense of greenery to the Calgary core!

Oh WOW ... this is just awesome ... look at the skyline and the views ... turns out to be a real touristic hub for the city eh?

I wonder why they don't build a new stadium and why is there so much empty space around that one? ... what a pitty, but so much of potential land to develop and really truly hope to see more tall skyscrapers in Calgary

The Saddledome is an arena and it would be nice if they built a new, bigger one. It looks like that's surface parking around it. I know the Stampede grounds has a great deal of empty space around it too. Calgary has lots of room to densify.

P.S. It would be nice for them to get a new stadium too.

That is the stampede grounds. It gets filled with stampede stuff for ten days of the year. After that it’s a waste of space. The stampede board owns Calgary it seems sometimes, so there is no justice when it comes to the way they waste space. The area itself was Calgary’s version of a slum. The slummy old houses where torn down and now it is a parking lot waste land. Some of the area is or has been developed. Really great proposals have been made for the area as well. So let’s keep our fingers crossed. The future for this area might be a bright one.

I love that Foster skyscrapers don't look like a simple accumulation of floors. There are design elements that exist independent of the floor count, giving it a more of an art feeling than simply a utilitarian office space.
