Southern Alberta is a weird place for a major city? No more so than Texas.

Anyway, love the building, and Calgary looks amazing!
It is in the middle of nowhere, but it's a pretty big city.

haha no, not Southern Alberta in general. It's just that it's so far inland, and not near any major bodies of water, that I wouldn't expect cities to be there ya know? For instance, NYC has a perfect location, seeing a map pre-development I would say "let's put a city there."

But Calgary and Edmonton are so awkwardly located haha, they look to be located in prairies, similar to the cities of South and North Dakota, except the cities in Alberta are much bigger haha.

As I mentioned, Denver and Phoenix are in the same boat! haha I'm just speaking about cities in general, that are not near big bodies of water, and are more or less in flat land that isn't unique.

I actually visited Sacramento over the summer, and felt the exact same about it, except it lies on a big river, so it has a little bit of a reason to be there.

And just to be clear, I do realize that Edmonton and Calgary both lie on rivers haha.

I'm hoping that the Bow is just the first of many tall striking skyscrapers for Calgary. Perhaps another 4-5 200m+ buildings and a super tall before the decade is out?

Its a stunning facade and building indeed very nice with the blue Glass and Triangles. And the curve makes its even more special

Calgary just needs a 270-320 m building to give it a strong focal point in the skyline.

I haven't really paid much attention to this building, but it is absolutely superb, and one of the best buildings in Canada. Congrats. Archives?
