Wow, I have never heard about this tower, but from the renders it looks totally awesome and very promising. Co Calgary!

Ok I think it's time for an update of this tower! It's been 5 months already!

Most exciting architectural project under construction in Canada. Hopefully it will spawn a little bit of architectural renaissance in Calgary.

I don't even know what else of the old York hotel will be preserved other than its facade. should the facade be the only thing that will be preserved into the complex?

Yes it does, the old York Hotel and the block right beside it.

Yes it does, and thank God, I was beginning to think all that Calgary would get out of the oil boom was a bunch of condos and expensive pickups. This building is truly a monument for Calgary to grow/live around. Yee-Haa!! (Sorry, that's just my try at being a little Stampeder...)

Agreed, with so much money, it's about time Calgary had something nice to show for it. Took them long enough, but better late than never. You'd never know this city was stinking rich based on the buildings they have. Hopefully, the Bow will prompt Calgary to begin developing in a more sophisticated manner.

Attention to good design and architecture has been practically non existent up until now. Things are looking up.

The Bow is currently undergoing the longest continuous pouring of a foundation for any Canadian structure.

30 hours, 68 mixer loads and 12 pumping trucks involved.

Looks like a giant mechanical spider infestation has consumed the hole.
