Yep, thank you Encana! Hopefully, Imperial Oil will build a new tower as well.

That is very kind of you Isaido. Well, some people call it an addiction or obsession. I am addicted to Skyscrapers and designs that will work, like these recent projects in Calgary.

Calgary has a lot of potentials and really need to work on it. And once Bow and the rest are finished, it can easily beat Houston or Dallas or Denver.

I hope to see an ever taller one soon again

At the rate Calgary has developed over the last 50 years, I wouldn't be surprised if Calgary built a 300 m + tower within the next 10 years. The culture in Alberta is more aggressive and brash than in central Canada by necessity. Maybe Canada's first super tall will happen here. It wouldn't be a shock if that transpired.

Calgary has a law called " Shadow by law" which means that buildings can't be really high. The original bow proposal was 303m but Calgary has forced them the lower the height. Calgary couldve had 300m + supertalls 15 years ago but the law is the only barrier

Could you please explain how many storey's a 300m tall skyscraper would count?

( if I was a champion in math, I ll be an architect myself and the most happy woman on Earth! )

... btw, I like the aggressive brash attitude of Calgarians, I should come over and stay there ...

cool picture...

btw, Isaido, if Encana is building this one, which tower will Imperial Oil come up with? I am so anxious. Will the Bow be the tallest in Calgary with 59storeys?
