Very interesting project.

I especially like the geometrical shape of the buildings.

Indeed. Just checked on both Emporis and skyscraperpage.com.

Still no renders on both La Lumiere Towers 1 & 2 on Emporis.

Tower 1: http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=...-unitedkingdom

Nor for the lower tower, Tower 2:

http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=...-unitedkingdom

BTW According to both the towers above the status on Emporis is "Approved"

The only highest tower for Leeds on skyscraperpage.com ATM is Criterion Place 1 @ 158.5m/520ft, yet on Emporis it states 160m/525ft: On both sites, status "Proposed" Once again, no render Emporis:

http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=...-unitedkingdom

Interesting to note that all 3 towers mentioned above are by the same chief artictect, Ian Simpson Architects:

Once entering, Projects-->Commercial-->Click onto Criterion Place for a slide show...it's a Flash Player 7 site BTW:

Mostly those by train, however if you were coming in from the south, criterion place makes more of a good gateway

Iconic may be a tad strong, but it'll definitely be the beginning of a new era for leeds.

This is a great development for Leeds, and the North in general - a few more of these developments and we might evenget the London boys worried (although not just yet). It's nice to see an interesting design of this scale in the UK, I'm not a huge fan of the 'block' style, and I'm glad that Liverpool is going with some more sexy curves in many of it's developments, although admittedly we haven't got the height yet! Will watch this one with interest, well done Leeds!

A tad boxier than I thought but I think its alright. Just hope it doesnt stand on its own and is part of a cluster.

Theres nout wrong with boxyness and the roof has a slant so its not that boxy. Anyway unfortunately it wont be part of a cluster but will have the other tower there so it wont be completely alone like Beetham in Manchester

New image of Lumiere behind the developer Linfoot's earlier 'West Point', looks cool.

I'm becoming ever more confused over what the shape is. Oh well. I'll wait til its built and head on up to Leeds to see for myself.
