Hey Turkey,

Neat Photos/angles on the broadgate tower in London btw, you aren't hoping to follow the footsteps of the French Spiderman are you, or are you and your buddy restricting your climbing to just British highrises for now.

Anyway, the night time render of Lumiere looks so elegant, I just hope these daytime renders aren't a falsified exaggerated real life interpretation of what the Beetham Towers turned out to be. Personally can't wait for this monster to rise.

This was posted by Markie in the Leeds forum, the pinkish buildings are the two towers and the hatched area shows the winter gardens

Few from the planning office. Sorry for the quality, they were taken on my phone cam as I was trying to be discreet...

They're a little old now, but still give a good idea of the building in its surroundings.

Yeh, loads of plant on site already (massive piling rig, large crawler crane, mobile crane, excavators, concrete mixers etc), they are off to a good start. International specialist firm Skanska are doing the foundation works, for those interesrted in contractors.

Very interesting. I'd pop over to Leeds but being Christmas the trains will be jammed as will the town centre. Ergh, nightmare.

Will be interesting to see when it starts to rise though.

hello there, great photos from the 'inside' of the site. You're clearly involved in the proj, would be great if you could brave the Leeds forum and post in the Lumiere thread there - lots of excited people at the moment. Cheers, and keep the updates coming!

Here's a shot of Wellington Street, looking East-ish. You can see where they've narrowed off the road, so that they can move their stuff (portakabins?) further outwards

On the other side, Whitehall Road, again looking East-ish, you can see where they've put new double yellow lines in preparation for doing the same thing here:

..this will be done in the next couple of weeks, according to Denis (the guy with the brush).
