That's an awesome little town. Cool pics.

I thought this quote was funny:

"What the US Americans call beer Europeans call stale water"

When I was stationed in Germany the Germans said that American beer tasted like German piss. hahahah.

I also like the title of your posts Mr. Denmark. You've invaded so many European cities I thought you were German for a second there.

It all started with this thread: "Mr D invades California" http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=385189

Where I had made a fictional ( year right! ) story linking together the pictures from my summer trip....

( Check it out - it's a good read )

Since all you guys are awesome and give kind replies I desided to post more of my travel pics... but lazy as I am I desided to skip the hole story and just stick with the "Mr D invades" name....

Haha, amazing! Looks like a little Dutch somehow. Take a look at the pancake restaurant, that wind mill and... a Dutch flag? Nice report nonetheless.

Aren't we? I didn't knew windmills and pancakes are typical Danish too. Well, at least we do have some nice things in common then.

It is...

Danish Pancakes are around the diameter of a small plate and very thin and sweet... we normally eat it with icecream, suggar and jelly... Mmmmm

Our old wind mills are this kind:

We used to have them everywhere, but wind and weather + plus industrialization have taken it's toll on them...

Those left today normally functions as "points of interests" for tourists - very few are still operational...

Neat place, even if it's a bit out of place. Can't imagine too much snow slipping off those pitched rooves.

As for themed towns, they can seem somewhat kitsch, but they can also add variety to the cultural landscape. They can be good for tourism in the area as well as cultural festivals. I wonder if Solvang has a Danish festival?

Here is the Greek 'themed town' in Florida.

well people would may say its "disneyfied" ... but it is still a hell of a lot better than being the same old design-less strip malls and suburban houses like it probably was before and like every other town.
