Big bump...

From today, you can also discuss the following airports around Belgium, aside from Brussels Airport (Zaventem, BRU):

- Antwerp Airport (ANR)
- Brussels/Charleroi Airport (CRL)
- Liège Airport (LGG)
- Ostend-Bruges International Airport (OST)

That way, this thread can become stronger and more united than before.

What kind of security measures are now in place at Brussels Airport to prevent a repeat of the 2016 airport bombing?

there has been introduced a camera shield to get control over any access road, random controls take place at parkings to check automobiles, entering the airport requires showing your passport and also metal detection so you can take anything, except for ready explosives and firearms into the airport. And also, you need to have a badge when you are not embarking a plane. "no screening, no badge, no entrance". The systematic checks on passengers at parkings have been reduced since the introduction of access road cameras but the police is worrying about this 'unsafe' measure.

In Europe, it is a culture that you can easily enter the airport until going through customs. Amsterdam Airport Schiphol for example is too much integrated with all sorts of functions and an important transport node to introduce metal detection at the entrance of the building. In Indonesia for example, however, detection at the entrance is very common, and with few exceptions even the shops before the first check-in counters are within the firearms-free zone.
