Yes, of course. There is nothing on this planet coming even close (and for the record, this picture isn't nearly showing all of the skyline-- only the south parts with the major towers poking up from the sea of highrises).

Actually, that was made just about a year ago already (note the progress of Wheelock and BM in the background).

Oct 17 - from Shanghaidaily.com

"Bridge to vanish - A crane is at work on the Wusong Road Bridge (right) over the Suzhou Creek in Shanghai yesterday. The bridge will be closed to traffic starting today. It will be demolished and replaced by the Bund underground vehicle tunnel before the Shanghai 2010 World Expo begins in May. In the short term, the loss of the vehicle bridge may cause greater congestion in the central downtown area, according to construction authorities."

When i used to live in puxi, siping road, i had to cross this bridge everytime i go to nanjing road, huaihai road or that area. I am actually quite sad that now it is gone =/

right?

Xuhui wants the next Xintiandi

By Jane Chen | 2009-10-19 | ONLINE EDITION

YONGKANGLI, a traditional neighborhood in downtown Xuhui District, wants to become another entertainment center such as Xintiandi.

More than 50 stores have opened in the lane in the first phase of the project, which was unveiled yesterday at the junction of Xiangyang Road S., Jiashan Road and Yongjia Road, today's Oriental Morning Post reported.

The development is part of the city's preparation for the upcoming World Expo to be held from May to October next year.

Planning has been completed for the second and third phases, which will open after the World Expo ends next October.

The second phase will be themed on old-Shanghai style lanes called longtang, featuring luxury hotels, galleries, private museums and creative industries as well as cafes and restaurants, according to the report.

Not sure. Judging by the third render it might be where the NanBei GaoJia crosses Suzhou River, but it is hard to say.

Look out the window of this render, but maybe thats just to make the render look better and has nothing to do with location :S

That's definitely not its location. It should be somewhere in northern Jing'an. The view in the render above is from somewhere in Hongkou by the looks of it.
