So deserving and befiting for the true home of the skyscraper.
Beautifully bold and bleak, sleek and elegent, just like New York.
Its such a fantastic addition to the skyline

I wish that one day a tower of this calibre will rise in my home town.

I like the vertical lines, don't know the quality of the materials used. sign needs to go indeed.

I think this building is just plain rediculously sexy in my opinion. I don't see how anyone could possibly hate it or dislike it. Definitely gives new york some more good architecture points....

Well, sure, it could probably use a new coat of paint. My problem is with all the people out there who see a building like this and want to reclad it to make it another boring glass box. That's exactly what happened with the other Verizon Building in Midtown. Sure, it wasn't a stunning piece of architecture, but it fit in with its surroundings. The new building, the Metlife, is just hideous and clashes horribly with its surroundings. My personal opinion is it'd simply be better to tear something down and start from scratch than play around with the architects original design by making it into a standard glass box.

Just saying...not really a marvel, just a convenience of script. Although Gehry uses CATscript and uses functions to adjust cost, a project like this could easily be done using Rhino Grasshopper
Think about it though most buildings are that way but the architect still either makes or breaks it. Id like to see you come up with something better from scratch, its easy to remake something once its been created. Many people can play beethoven on the piano but that doesnt mean they could have come up with it.
