I got my first really good view this building today, from the Brooklyn Heights promenade, and Brooklyn Bridge Park (where this was taken).

Why the hell is this elevator still there?

Nice apartments..The furniture is bad but I'd take care of this if I could afford it.. What's the price for beekman anyway? The views are amazing...Specially when WTCs will be up...

A arm and a leg, to be sure. All I know is it's way out of my price range.

When is the temporary elevator going to be dismantled so the Beekman Tower can be externally completed?

I read an article recently that the top of the roof is 900 feet tall.

http://regator.com/p/223081133/ratne...er_topped_off/

Ratner And Gehry's Beekman Tower Topped Off
last yearUnited States / New York : Gothamist
Yesterday, developer Bruce Ratner and architect Frank Gehry celebrated the "topping off" of the 76-story Beekman Tower in lower Manhattan. A 10-pound bucket of concrete was lifted 900 feet onto the roof of the 1.1 million square foot skyscraper, which will have rental apartments, a pre-K through 8th grade public school, an ambulatory care center for NY Downtown Hospital, retail space, and public plazas.

When you do go, just walk across the Brooklyn Bridge for the best views!

I haven't seen a single picture proving that the elevator is down.

In fact, I can go on the RBGZ cam right now and see that it's still there, as of 6:41 p.m., March 4th 2011.
