It's beautiful -- especially when contrasted with the old buildings nearby.

Here's a photo posted by DKNY617 on WNY

This photo, which was posted by Lofter on WNY, shows the great contrast between old and new.

That green building in jersey, looks like its taller then the two tallest buildings in lower manhattan. But it's not even close, it's somewhere around 500 to 650 feet or maybe a lil taller.

I think it barely hits 500' and its a set of twins. Really nice set, however, and very striking when seen from Liberty State Park. Its distance perception really.

Latest from lowermanhattan.org

The following information was last updated on February 11, 2009.

Superstructure work is underway, and continues through spring 2010. Currently up to the 37th floor
Full sidewalk closures on Spruce and Beekman Streets beside the work site
Extended work hours Monday through Saturdays 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m
The contractor heightens ("jumps") the crane is appx. every two to three weeks
The sliding "cocoon" system is being dismantled until March 20, 2009 for construction of a mechanical 38th floor
Curtain wall installation begins February 11, 2009

Can anyone confirm the cladding has begun with some pics...

Hmmm I'd be much happer for it, if it was a supertall. But it's still going to be one of the tallest buildings in lower manhattan. I say in a few years, it will get lost in the background. With everything going on at ground zer0, I can't see why it wouldn't
