oh, the time spent in design compensates for the time under construction, I will give gehry credit and the development of CATIA in that now he spends time in design to have numerous mass customized parts just waiting for delivery and assembly...all numbered, all ready to be welded in upon their delivery stages

See what rumors do....
When its up to the 73rd floor I think I will loiter around 140 Nassau and ask how they like their new neighbors. Hopefully I catch the woman who said “They don’t live across the street from it,” and let her know just how much we still appreciate it. Wipe those tears off your face Suzanne...you own an apartment, not the neighborhood darling.

Very good news! This is one of the most architecturally interesting projects going up right now, it would have been a real shame if it didn't happen.

Well spoken. I think the neighborhood is better of with the full height as it would look terrible and bulky with only half its height.

If it was a relatively stock standard glass box, I would be more likely to agree with 'resident 140 nassau', though I think the design is so unique compared to any other scraper I've seen and has the potential to be so amazing that sometimes the feelings and opinions of residents in the area should be trumped.

Does anyone else take note how jaringly different the tower cladding is from the podium brick face facade? Why couldn't they maintain the uniformity throughout. It looks like they slatter those bricks on there like some cheap margarin. Brick is a wondeful building material but not when the rest of the tower is stainless steel cutting edge like this. What do you think?

we should be thankful that chicago spire has been haulted for ages. If we saw CS's cladding before this one, this one wouldn't look as interesting.
