finally a tower for lower manhattan that is not a boring box (like wtc 7 f.e.). the cladding is really fantastic imo but just like other recent nyc tower it is lacking in height. again no supertall, although this city needs supertalls so badly.

forgive my lack of knowledge, but i have to ask: is beekman going to be the tallest residential tower in nyc? (till 30 park place is constructed). TWT is 861 ft, but i don't know where the last floor of beekman stops!? btw: this tower looks really great, one could be jealous ... . the only thing that bothers me: it could be taller, at least over 1000 ft.

yes, it would be the tallest Residental in New York. just 5m taller than the Trump World Tower

I like the cladding. Love to see the metalic skin. It is very industrial looking. The curves make it looks uptodate instead of 70yish.

It somehow got a Richard Rogers appearance now. Compare it to the London Lloyd's Building!

I'd rather say that every time I look at it it reminds me the skeleton of some pre-historic fish with all these curves it has. I am not saying it is bad or that I don't like it, but it is very modern approach to cladding.
