To be honest, none of these photos do it justice, it really is a beautiful & well designed building. It compliments in modern sheen the ornamental & imposing gothic woolworth building.

It compliments it, but sadly it's also hiding the Woolworth.

You don't have any gothic buildings over there in the States

I agree. Walking the Brooklyn Bridge will never be the same again. How can you cover up beautiful Gothic Revival with Gehry PoMo garbage?

Well, that's a little extreme. Maybe not garbage but certainly cabbage.

Hopefully it won't blind people or melt plastic like the Disney Concert Hall.

The woolworth is visible from all over the place, and is a prominent landmark due to the odd intersections made by the older streets. Coming from WTC you see the back, and all along park row and BB approaches you see the front face. From across the river, south ferry/ferry terminal, and in in the "lull" where bedrock is too deep you can see at least the top 60 feet if not more. From the center span you can see it as well. It's not blocking it aside from just across the water in bk.

Will try to get more photos when i can since it's a simple walk from WTC.

And that's the problem. BK bridge view is one of the most prominent and Woolworth was dominating it. That's quite a loss in my eyes.
