Well there are about 10-15 more floors, I don't know exactly what floor it's on right now though.

Last night I spent some time around the Beekman Place site. I got to see the reflection of the lighted Woolworth Building in the south side of the tower. It is amazing, I understand the flat side more by seeing it at night.

lowermanhattan info says the following:

Quote:
*The following information was last updated on September 16, 2009.

-Superstructure erection is underway, now at 63 stories. It is scheduled to top out in May 2010.
-The concrete superstructure should be completed by May 2010
-Curtain wall installation continues up to floor 30 and should be completed by August 2010. The brick facade on the lower stories is complete.
-The contract RFP for finishing work on the building's school was issued in late May 2009.
-Full sidewalk closures on Spruce and Beekman Streets beside the work site
-Extended work hours Monday through Saturdays 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
-The rooftop safety "cocoon" was reinstalled in early July 2009

i'm wondering about the information that beekman is going to top out in may?! (8(!) months from now) at least the cladding has to be finished too by that date!

What they mean by "Top-out" is the entire roof/structure will be finished. Beekman will probably reach its max height sometime in November or December. But obviously their is still work to be done at the top afterwards.

Pics from today!

I noticed a lot of people taking pictures as well as looking up and pointing to the tower, discussing the waves. It's definitely going to be a new icon when complete.

I'm assuming it was from the Millennium, probably. I didn't take the picture though, I haven't visited New York recently.
