Was walking around as usual today, here are some pictures.

UPDATE:

I removed the pictures because too many people complained about them. Unfortunate because I think the super large pictures and close ups really showed the detail of the tower. But not everyone has a great internet.

I'll upload them smaller in due time if I feel like it, once my other uploader starts working again, if not, oh well. I spent time taking pictures for nothing.

Wow....those are AWESOME photos...thanks! Usually I would have hated the size of the pics, but scrolling through them was nothing short of cool. The detail of the skin and it's cement counterpart is amazing.

It was not my intention for them to be that big. I'm sorry, I apologized. It's a 10 megapixel camera, those are the actual sizes of the photos. If it's such a problem, I will remove them.

And possibly place them back when my other uploader works again.

It wasn't that bad that you had to take them down, but you can always wait to post until you can size them down. No problems!

Wow, sure hate that...they were great. Is there a site you can post them to where we can see them besides here?

HI
Very nice construction and design.
This small residential area just north of the United Nations takes its name from the narrow, virtually private street east of First Avenue that runs between Mitchell Place (a block-long extension of 49th Street) and 51st Street. Beekman Place proper has some of the city's most sumptuous apartment buildings and town houses, many of which have lush private gardens and unobstructed views of the East River.

Real-estate agents and envious neighbors often exaggerate the boundaries of the ''Beekman Place area,'' but most of its residents agree that the real thing consists of only Beekman Place itself, Mitchell Place and 50th and 51st Streets east of First Avenue.

Didn't know that one side is flat.
Why is that?

That side of the tower was a victim of the recession.
