Yes, why don't we change every building into modern day anonymous glass boxes, wiping out decades of building history. And then in 2025 we'll realize that again it's not what we wanted for our cities and reclad everything again.
God, some people are too shortsighted. I hope the crisis will take care of any plans to reclad Verizon so that our grandchildren may also enjoy architecture from this era.

very cool shot. as a forumer on SSP mentioned, it clearly can be seen that beekman has the highest roof height in lower manhattan for now.

the design of Verizon is classic and isn't from this era, since it over 30 years old. Since the built the building to begain with, they should be able to do what they want with it. The glass design will look much better

You are saying as if because it was built some years ago, it can't be ugly. Face it. It IS ugly and need be rennovated.
