What I was saying is that it has very little to do with "supply and demand", contrary to what people think.

Perhaps not supply, but demand is certainly a factor. Otherwise, nothing would've been getting built and sold.

Here's tendency of cost per square meter in ONE YEAR

Kyiv mini update

I just posted this as a project somewhere here not too long ago and.. it's nearing completion

This guy also looks completing

And now the new project:
A mini-district in Kyiv, as an alternative to commieblocks. To be completed within this year.

Okay, I wanted to post more but I want to sleep and read a book before that, so g'night mates

[Kyiv] New 25-floor condominium

This was posted on SSP, but I don't think anyone mentioned it here.

Posted by "trueviking":

"this is a 25 storey mixed use tower being developed for central kiev (kyiv). it is 180 condominium units of varying sizes, a two level parking structure and 3000 square metres of retail space on the street.

it is currently in the design development phase, but the project has slowed down since the election in ukraine. the owners have to jump through a series of hoops all over again. they are good developers, so it should proceed.....

they are using a canadian architect......me."

I like it, it looks nice. I like the bottom half though, the top isn't anything special.

No offence, but this building looks like something in my neighbourhood that was built in the 1960’s, then received a cheap renovation in 2005.

Thanks for posting. Even I don't like it though there new condominiums/commieblocks that look much better. This reminds me of a hospital built in 1974.

I personally like it. I'm not really sure why, mabye it's how the colours come together with the building. Either way, it seems to have a great hight, and no doubt that it'll bring more density to the cities population.

I'm sorry to say but there is also a lot more people who dislike the designs than actally like the designs that come from Kyiv.
