As nightclub go, even those at the Vegas don't do very well, it is mainly a place for high-roller who already see all the show and ate everything (dame you high-roller!), for me... I sure won't pay $50 just to get in and pay $20 for a drink. As Macau can't compare with Vegas yet, but I will compare with Vegas 15 years ago (when just start bomming and Mirage just open) all Mirage got was just a huge buffet, a huge swimming pool, one gay show and a white tiger, and people already saying "WOW! WOW! WOW!!!". I will say compare to that Macau already doing much better....I miss those good'O-time of Vegas, comp. free buffet is much easy to get that today, today I need to sit on that dame chair for five hours before they give me a free f*cking $20 buffet....O-well it is another story
When I go to Las Vegas, I'm not much of a gambler first of all, so I'm more interested in everything else. When I go with friends, they mostly go for the social aspect of Vegas which is basically clubbing. I've never stood in line for any big name performers so I wouldn't know that experience but for the other shows, like the Cirque shows, people will pay for those shows and you can tell these people come from all over including Europe. I can only guess it's the same way and even more in demand with the big name entertainers. I don't think they need to give away tickets but of course they do have seats reserved for VIPs. I've never been to Macau so someone would know better but what I've heard it's mostly hardcore gamblers and not just the rich. Las Vegas is a destination to have fun. Does anyone know if Macau has that reputation? One of the things people were worried about Macau and these Las Vegas type hotel and casinos is that people don't stay in Macau. It's mostly day trips which means hardcore gamblers. Does anyone know if these new hotels are filling their rooms? Because that would say something if Macau has nudged a bit away from just being a gambler's destination. I know that the Las Vegas tycoons that have established themselves in Macau are or plan to lure Macau VIPs with free trips to Las Vegas. I wonder if they have any plans the other way around.
