Khoie is proven to be unreliable. Be very aware.

Has Khoie actually done this (or even threatened to do this) to anyone?

See that FK is now banging on about the Real Madrid deal as the latest saviour for LHB. Praising RAKIA ...... Blah.

Any progress on the investor funding option?

Hi Everybody,

We have purchased an apartment in Block D (Dolphin).

Can somebody please tell me which site is active amongst other owners, or a forum which is active.

I have been receiving e-mails from Khoie saying they are starting to build is this true or another smoke screen, with nobody active on this site since the 4th of April, i can't seem to find any information. Khoie is asking for my original contract so he can rewrite an up to date contract.

Regards Stephen

You would be well advised to have someone verify as to whether there is anything going on on the site. It is my belief that - despite an unusually restrained comment stating that construction has started in the last CEO statement on the Khoie website - that there is actually nothing going on. If there was genuinely anything happening there we'd have heard huge trumpeting and fanfare from Khoie.
Your original contract provides for a number of rights which you would be well advised to retain going forward. That contract has been signed by both parties and has yet to be fulfilled. If you allow the contract to be amended you will be giving up any rights you had under the original contract - fundamentally your right to the delivery of a completed apartment or a refund of your money. You should take independant legal advice before you give up those rights. I think most lawyers would tell you emphatically to keep the original contract and not agree to any amendment.

Thank you Yousuf27,

Is there any other forum owners use?

Not many people seem to post on this site.

Regards

I suspect so - looks like they are trying for a combination of "finance" and default units to pay the contractor. That's what they tried for BluM and that got us nowhere fast.

Disappointing, but not surprising, that despite positive comments by FK that construction etc was going to start in Sept 2013 there has been zero progress. His latest comments are focusing on the port power station being constructed by 2015 and construction starting in 2013. Whilst FK has no credibility the lack of progress on LHB is a poor indicator of the current AMI status. www.almarjanislandrak.com #1 google search

FK is stuck, he can not find the project, failed to get money from investors! And waits for a miracle! The best option for him is to give the land he owns to investors and forget his ambition to be a billionaire!

Khoie has an office in Al Quoz. What happens in that office? Does anyone sit in that office?

Seems dead and buried. Only 2 people seem to read this link these days! And Khoie still quote the same line of "nothingness".

Dear La Hoya Bay Stakeholders, March 03, 2013
It has become increasingly apparent that as global monetary uncertainty continues our best option for a construction funding solution will be through an innovative and collaborative approach.

To this end it is Khoie Properties’ intention to place up to 50 million shares at $10 to raise funds for the project. Funds raised will enable Khoie Properties working with its JV partner to deliver Phase 1, which includes the first residential blocks, and to purchase the next parcel of land for Phase 2.

Construction on Al Marjan Island is continuing which is facilitating infrastructure and attracting additional amenities. I am assured by the RAK authorities that additional plans for the Island will be announced shortly to increase investor confidence and help boost the value of your investment. I will keep you updated as news breaks so please keep visiting the Khoie website.

I reiterate that the surest way of a return on your investment is to ‘sit this out’ and with your support La Hoya Bay will become an exceptional resort.

I promise you your patience will pay off.

God Bless you all,

Frank Khoie,
Chairman

Having been to Al Marjan last week it is hardly progressing at a pace! A snail moves faster: it was close to dead as a vicinity.

RAK are going to have to come out with something very special to get any interest in that sand-fill given its history and 4th rate developers attracted to it.
