Hi all.
Wow part 21 ...
AltinD, Imre, beautiful updates as always...

Here is a list of the world's tallest skyscrapers - the Burj is 34th.

Here is a list of the world's tallest towers ( freestanding on land ) - the list only goes to 15 and it is 339 meters.

Here is a list of the world's tallest structures - this goes to 400 meters and has a few hundred entries. I see many glaring errors for some buildings in this list, but it gives an idea of how many masts there is.

Soon this structure of a lifetime will hold the number 1 spot on all these lists

Also, seeing the tower with no cladding right now is great ! We can see the structure - We can enjoy the beautiful facade later

From www.burjdubaiskyscraper.com

An interior construction firm -that doesn't want to be named- has revealed a few details about the construction of Burj Dubai. Their work on the skyscraper is scheduled for August 2008, and they are going to have 300 days to finish it. Burj Dubai will be finished by the end of 2009 due to the failed first facade testing. The construction of the tower is going to slow down after they reach the height of 400-450 meters, as it will take much more time to bring the materials to that altitude.

July 2007?

Hmm.. i think that is rather an Optimistic approach. You never know what may cause a delay is such huge projects and obviously, construction will slow down as height increases.

Having said that.. Remember, this is DUBAI...everything is possible

Haven't they said that there wil be more workers on the tower (to make it go faster)?? I Thought it would be around 25 000 workers (on the whole burj dubai site...)

PART 21

Another month pass and another part is left behind giving space to another. It's wonderful 80 floors in almost 2 years, Burj Dubai will made it to the 100 floors by the end of this year, if this continues maybe they'll finish Burj Dubai before.

I also think the speed of building will be the same, due to less width (As you mentioned). Looking forward to cladding
