Here are some better pictures of the bank, Stas:

УКРСОЦБАНК? Socialistic? That's one awkward name for a bank!

Anyway, it looks better than I thought, but I still don't like it. It's old town, they should've built something that looked early 20th century. With a nice roof and no space antennas.

Meh. I don't mind it. Brings some new life to old town. We have enough old, historic buildins already ... they just need to finish restoring all of them.

actually "СОЦ" may stand here for "socialnyi" (as social)

definetely eyesore, but if it brings money in town it's a small evil

Yes, that's what I immediately thought "socialnyi" but I just had to make an assumption it's socialistic ( СОЦ-СТРАНЫ and all the other ex-СОЦ's ), that would have been funny if it was.

Aw. It's not so bad to be called an "eyesore". I mean, there are limited options for low-rise modernity. It can't be too modern, because of the surroundings, but it has to be a step up.

If not for the "pyramid" I would approve it.

Last week I was in Lviv, and yes, it is a beautiful city. But those people living there..... They are looking so sad. They can't laugh? My friends even don't want to visit Lviv anymore.... And...no Odessa chicks in this city......

I've heard a lot about this city! It looks beautifull!
One day I will visit Lviv/Lwów and other parts of Ukraine
I have some friends from Ukraine, some of them live in my city where they work and study. Just few days ago I've visited eastern Poland. I was in Przemyśl (in Ukrainian it is Peremysl I supose), so I was very close but didn't have time to go. But I will come!!!

Please tell how does it look: the situation of houses - on the pictures I see them in very good condition - renovated. Is it only on few streets or is it a common view? Do you still have problems connected with construction of metro line in the city? Do you want to do it? I ask, cause I've heard that some problems appeared when they started construction of metro in Lviv during Soviet times. How does it look???
dziękuję/djakuje

and invite all of you to see my city! Poznań!
greetings

Great city! I was in Lviv in1989. I do not remember too much because I was a child, but at that time many Poles were going to Ukraine to “make business in luggage”, and vice versa. My aunt met somewhere a very friendly Ukrainian family. Once she took my mom and me to “make business”  and we stayed over at that family’s place. I remember that this family wanted to give us everything what they had the best. Till today I remember their hospitality. There is also one moment that is in my head. On the fridge was a small Ukrainian flag, and one day he (I do not remember the name of the Ukrainian) said to me “this is not the Soviet Union, this is Ukraine”, and he kissed the flag.
