In the bast 33 years the regime has blamed all the limitations and underdevelopment on either sanctions or the 8 year war. While if we had an IRANIAN regime which actually cared about its people and the country's interest we wouldn't have them in the first place.

The biggest problem with Iranian people is that they don't know just how great their country can be.

Maziar, it seems you have forgot that we are under a COMPLETE embargo by the West, under 4 U.N sanctions so don't expect our highways to be as good as the ones in the U.S.

No foreign architects can enter the country, and cause of the sanctions/embargo they can't invest either. I have nothing against you stating your opinion, but saying the Iranian roads are shit is just too much.
Your taking a page out of the Regimes handbook about their short comings. Plus , your argument doesn't prove anything since Iran under this regime hasn't always been under a complete embargo . Even today , Iran is paying premium
money to have China build it's roads but there is no quality because this regime doesn't understand the concept of quality . And I'll say it again Iran's roads are shit , try driving at night on these highways there are no proper lighting and also there are only a few petrol staions every hundred or so kilometers. Like I said a big reason for our death rates on the roads is the bad design of our roads.

lolz

I find it funny that this guy "Maziar" says that he'd rather watch FOX cause apparently PressTV and IRIB is propaganda.

Let's face it, no new station is serious, just as i said they all have different political aspects. However, everything made up at FOX is 100% propaganda, Iranian news channels also have lots of propaganda, however atleast they aren't made up of ultra-right wing neo-conservative republicans which thinks that George Bush is the new messiah or something lol. Same thing with CNN.

Anyway, back to the topic.

LOL no IRIB is made of turban headed bearded people who teach our people about Islamic republic propaganda . Fox is biased but no sane person would even compare Iran's state propaganda network to FOX . Now if you compared IRIB to North Korean TV it would be more reasonable .

Fox News is the worst of the crap. Apparently its the most popular source of news in the US (which explains a lot) but in Europe its treated as a running joke like North Korean news. I'm sorry but its measurably worse than anything that IRIB ever does. I never watch PressTV either, but if I was forced to watch one of them and I was given the choice, it would be PressTV.
Anyway back to highways, has anyone heard about this:

Iran-Georgia road will benefit Armenia – Sargsyan

25 April 2012

Construction of the Iran-Georgia road is of strategic significance to Yerevan and is considered a grand project to link Armenia with ports of the Persian Gulf and Black Sea, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said on a visit to Kapan, Business Georgia reported.

Construction of the road would boost trade-economic cooperation in the Caucasus Region. The Asian Development Bank is assisting in the process, Sargsyan said.
